Shree Nandlal Kanji Sagar / Nandubhai

Our father, Shree Nandlal Kanji Sagar born 24rd September 1955 (Kodinar District Amreli – GujaratIndia) - Died 3rd November 2008 (DubaiUnited Arab Emirates).

Shree Nandlal Kanji Sagar was a man full of energy when it comes to work, he was famous with his nickname NANDUBHAI, he was king of handling customer relationship & handling sales management skills. He started his business in 1970’s in Dubai – UAE, with his two brothers Late Shree Girdharlal Kanji Sagar & Late Shree Jayantilal Kanji Sagar, they achieved to establish a gold & jewellery business Jayantilal & Girdharlal Jewellers.

Later in 1980’s all brothers made absolute first-rate business together & started running the trade individually with the same company name, Shree Nandlal Kanji Sagar aka Nandubhai established his own branch and became amongst the most successful businessman in the field of gold & jewellery.

In early month of 1994, soon after getting the eldest daughter Bhavna got married to Rupen Vaya from Nairobi, Kenya. He faced problems financially due to recession period & high price-rise in gold business, it became a colossal loss for many and for him as well, nevertheless, at such phase of bankruptcy, it was a weighty payback time and we the family members remember him saying “I will face it” – and, he did manage to clear all the respected dues. The only person considered to be in Dubai to make such a huge loss and bringing back the good times for one & all, thanks to Mr. Tawfique, Mr. Tawhid and Mr. Tamjid Abdullah (brothers & owners of Damas Jewellery) as well as Mr. Dinesh Dhanak who held his hand towards a restart and a great encouragement & motivation was also led by Mr. Manojkumar Pattni & Family - one family whom you can learn the art of respect, they as part of our family too showed him the way to success!

Our father, truly became a father figure to a many young & upcoming workmates in Damas Jewellery. Punctuality was his one of his biggest plus points, time for him was to be minutes earlier than usual and Handling Customer Relationship was his passion. He achieved plentiful recognition and fame for handling 22 karat jewellery & his master-blaster quality management at Diamond Polki Sets were just remarkable.

From a smallest villager to the biggest fashion designer and many a businessman as customers would remember him by the name of Nandubhai. He loved Challenges & worked non-stop for 13 years without a vacation or a single break.

He took his first break, when he felt weak and, it was sad to know that he was suffering from Cancer disease, Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. Six months later, as soon as he recovered from his chemotherapy, he joined work at the very next day and started performing better than the rest.

Soon in the year 2007 after successfully getting his second daughter, Dolly married to Ambrish Solanki of Mumbai, India. In few months he suffered again and continued his therapies for a another six months and as time passed by he kept suffering more often then, he also visited Nairobi, Kenya in January 2007 to meet the eldest daughter's family,he enjoyed every moment with his grand kids and family members, after a month he continued working for few months, nevertheless as health issues had taken place again he never gave up his job till the end – He always communicated & passed greetings to the management and checked whether the diwali sales were good or not. For the last few months, he suffered from heavy chest pain & cough, and, was hospitalized at Al Tawam Hospital in Al Ain, UAE.

He spoke to every family members and shared joys to a many.

He died in silence & lives now in heaven.

He has been a great father, a great husband and a great manager for one & all.

WE THANK TO ONE & ALL AND ON BEHALF OF OUR GREAT FATHER FOR THE SUPPORT & LOVE WE'VE RECIEVED.

May his soul rest in peace.
